Supervising Location Manager & Location Scout

With almost 30 years’ experience as a Feature Film Location Manager and Location Scout, I have delivered locations for major feature films and high-end television productions across London, the UK and around the world. From intimate dramas to large-scale studio blockbusters, my role is to find exceptional locations and ensure they work creatively, practically and commercially.

Working alongside producers, directors and production designers, I oversee every stage of the location process, from script breakdowns and location scouting through to permissions, logistics, stakeholder liaison and filming on location.

Finding the Right Location

Every production starts differently. Sometimes it’s a completed script, sometimes a mood board, and sometimes simply a conversation about the look and feel of a scene. The challenge is always the same: finding a location that delivers the creative vision while supporting the practical demands of a major film or television production.

Over the years, location scouting has taken me across London, throughout the UK and internationally, searching for everything from city streets and historic buildings to remote coastlines, mountain landscapes and unique architectural locations.

Delivering Productions on Location

Finding the location is only the beginning. Successful filming depends on careful planning, strong relationships and attention to detail. I manage complex filming logistics, permissions, local authority liaison, road closures, resident engagement and on-set operations, ensuring productions run smoothly while protecting both the creative vision and the interests of the communities involved.

Whether filming in central London, elsewhere in the UK or internationally, my approach remains practical, collaborative and solution-focused.
