In 1973, kidnappers demand $17 million from billionaire J. Paul Getty in exchange for his grandson’s release. Getty refuses to pay the perpetrators a single penny despite the desperate pleas from his daughter-in-law Gail and adviser Fletcher Chase. With nowhere else to turn, Gail and Fletcher soon become unlikely allies in a race against time to save the teen’s life.

Working with Arthur Max & Ridley Scott on All the Money in the World for Sony Pictures

I had the opportunity to collaborate with Arthur Max, the acclaimed production designer behind Gladiator and The Martian, on Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World.

Arthur meticulously recreated 1970s Italy, Jordan, and the UK, capturing the opulence of the Getty estate and the tension of the kidnapping drama.

The production also involved a swift and unprecedented reshoot process—following allegations against Kevin Spacey, Ridley Scott made the bold decision to replace him with Christopher Plummer just weeks before the film’s release. In a remarkable feat, 22 scenes were reshot in just nine days, with Plummer delivering a performance that garnered critical acclaim.
