Working with Gavin Bocquet & David E. Talbert on Jingle Jangle for Netflix
I was thrilled to work on Netflix’s Jingle Jangle, a bold and imaginative holiday musical set in a vibrant Afro-Victorian world. Working with acclaimed production designer Gavin Bocquet (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Sleepy Hollow), the sets were rich with colour, detail, and subtle tributes to Black inventors and trailblazers.
Director David E. Talbert brought his heartfelt vision to life with passion and originality, creating a story full of joy, magic, and meaningful representation. The film also featured original music by John Legend, blending soulful melodies with show-stopping musical numbers that helped define the film’s uplifting tone.
Filmed entirely in the UK and starring Forest Whitaker, Keegan-Michael Key, and newcomer Madalen Mills—Jingle Jangle was a vibrant, groundbreaking production that I was very proud to have been a part of.
