Sometimes there are moments on a journey when something makes you want to stop and look over your shoulder, this was one of them and I’m glad I did.
Literally on route in Asia to photograph a specific location for a brief, thousands of feet above sea level – I later found out that this 1.2km mountain tunnel was carved out by local villagers with nothing more than hammers and chisels, no power tools. At just 13ft wide, I didn’t stay long on the road. As they say, sometimes it’s about the journey not the destination.
